Experimental Starch Deodorant Formulation
Dry Blend
* 1 part instant clear-gel modified food starch
* 16 parts arrowroot starch
Blend thoroughly and store dry in a sealed container.
Mix approximately 1/4–1/2 teaspoon with several drops of water to form a thin slurry. Apply a thin, even layer to the axillae (under arms) and allow to dry briefly.
Users may independently evaluate odor-reduction performance under varying conditions including clothing, activity level, laundering practices, temperature, and humidity.
This work originated from an interest in reducing unnecessary packaging, simplifying formulations, and exploring low-cost public-access household technologies.
The deodorant formulation disclosure is publicly available.
